Log every completed Housecall Pro job to Google Sheets (for commissions and crew bonuses)

Each time a job is marked finished in Housecall Pro, add a row to a Google Sheet: customer, job ID, tags, address. Commission and bonus math becomes a filter, not a Friday-night chore.

Busy-work it kills: exporting or re-typing finished jobs every pay period to figure out tech commissions, crew bonuses or callbacks.

Good fit: Housecall Pro^* shops with 2–20 techs that pay per job or per completed ticket.

Plan check, important. Housecall Pro's help center says the Zapier integration is on Essentials, Essentials+ and MAX. Its pricing page FAQ says "our MAX plan offers access to Zapier." Confirm with Housecall Pro support for your account before you build. Make and n8n versions need the Housecall Pro API or webhooks, which are MAX-only.

What you need

Housecall Pro with the Zapier app turned on (My Apps → App Store → Zapier → toggle; copy the API key shown there into Zapier).
A Google Sheet with columns: Date, Customer, Job ID, Job tags, City.
Zapier Free works if Sheets is the only action.

Build it in Zapier

Trigger: Housecall Pro → New Completed Job.
Action: Google Sheets → Create Spreadsheet Row. Map customer display name, job ID, job tags, service-address city. Housecall Pro's help article lists the fields the trigger sends.
(Pro plan, optional) Action: Slack → Send Channel Message to #completed: ✅ {customer} finished.

Assigned-technician and invoice-amount fields aren't in Housecall Pro's published Zapier field list. Check your test data before relying on them. If they're missing, add a "Tech" column the office fills in, or use the MAX webhook route.

Make and n8n versions (MAX plan)

Make: Housecall Pro community apps (Codex Solutions or Maxmel Tech) offer Watch Jobs / Watch Updated Jobs and Get a Job. Both need an HCP API key, which is MAX-only. Community-app fees may apply.

n8n: Turn on the HCP Webhooks app (MAX), subscribe to job.completed, and send it to an n8n Webhook node → Google Sheets node. Add an HTTP Request to the HCP API for fields the webhook doesn't carry.

Limits & gotchas

Housecall Pro's Zapier app has only two triggers (Job Scheduled, Job Finished) and one action (Create Customer). Don't expect estimate or invoice triggers below MAX.
Reopened and re-finished jobs may log twice. Dedupe on Job ID in the sheet.
